Rezensionen / Stimmen
As you and your child read this mesmerizing and unique tale, you'll quickly realize that this is an 'heirloom' book. You'll want to read it time and time again. * book ideas * "Children will enjoy wading through the frog's water-bogged house, playing cricket with the snails, dodging the hornets and the wasps, and riding the train with the dangerous, crafty fox." * The Children's Hour * "Features gorgeous, glistening artwork and rhyming verse." * Journal Inquirer * "A beautiful book, illustrations are stunning - a fabulous collector's item" * Hotbrandscoolplaces.com * "Every page is a surprise and the story will be equally welcome to fairy lovers and animal fans." * Eclectica e-zine * I do have to admit, I sometimes really do buy books by the cover. This makes me the ideal prey for book designers and illustrators. But when it comes to books such as the Butterfly Ball, this is no problem, but a real treat. The butterfly ball is a wonderful book, the illustrations tend to be overwhelming in their colourful design, their fullness of detail and inspiration. They remind me of the friendship book decorations we bought in the local paper shop and collected in the desks drawer. Because of its richness, one tends to overlook the beauty of the poems. But, take my advice don't do so! Take the time and read the poems, enjoy the wonderful words that work perfectly with the illustrations. If you like Victorian style illustrations, children's fantasy poems and a wonderful retrofeeling-do get this book! * ZauberSpiegel * Once you've entered this festivity, you won't want to leave! This is a delight to the eye and mind. * Newton's Book News *
