Julian Pittman holds a doctorate from the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He is formally trained in neuroscience and pharmacology/toxicology, and he has previously taught at the College of William and Mary, USA. He is currently Associate Chair of the Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences at Troy University, Alabama. In addition to teaching, he maintains an active research program, focused on understanding the behavioral, neuroanatomical, and neurochemical substrates of anxiety and depression.
