Ternary Alloys

This is the first systematic compilation of data on ternary alloys, starting with 262 ternary systems containing silver (a further 184 silver systems are described in Volume 1). The contents are arranged in alphabetical order of the chemical symbols of the constituent elements and have a uniform structure, so offering easy access for the specialist. The following information is included: isotherms, liquidus projections, isopleths, crystallograpic data, concise descriptions of phase diagrams and extensive references. Phase diagrams are computer-generated and thus ensure highest accuracy. Furthermore, all data and diagrams have been critically evaluated by a panel of experts from eleven countries under the authority of the Max Planck Institute for Metals Research in Stuttgart. The compendium will prove indispensable to everyone concerned with the research and development of materials, such as materials scientists and engineers, metallurgists, chemical engineers, inorganic chemists and physicists.
