Starting with a brief history of Russian ornament from its origins through the 16th century, this book is divided in two parts. The first part contains hundreds of examples of decorative motifs in full colour arranged in chronological groups. The second half of the book provides templates, which can be used for tracing or scanning details of the decorative elements.
