Pharmacology constitutes one of the major components of the clinical aspects of anaesthesia. Historically, anaesthesiologists were mostly concerned with equipment and drugs, and although the field has evolved so that the base of practice is much broader, these two areas are still of key importance. This work is a pocket-sized handbook. Drugs are organized alphabetically and information is provided in a uniform manner for each drug: use, dosage, elimination, how supplied, pharmacology, pharmakinetics, guidelines, precautions, and adverse reactions.
