Deactivation and Testing of Hydrocarbon-processing Catalysts

Provides a broad review of state-of-the-art methodology of catalyst deactivation and testing in hydrocarbon conversion processes. This work examines deactivation mechanisms for the major classes of heterogeneous catalysts used in the petrochemical industry. It provides insights on how to create effective, small-scale laboratory tests, and how to simulate catalyst deactivation in commercial processes. It also discusses modelling of catalyst deactivation.
