The artistic society known as "Groupe de Saint-Luc" left its mark on the artistic and cultural heritage of Switzerland, in particular French-speaking Switzerland, throughout the inter-war period. Based on in-depth research into the abundant archival sources produced by the Society and its members, this publication proposes a re-reading of this major artistic phenomenon of the first half of the 20th century, from a plural perspective that combines history, sociology and history of forms in art and architecture. It aims to take the "Groupe de Saint-Luc" out of isolation and set it within a broad European field of action, in which the issues of architecture and modern art, the opening of religious circles to modernity, and the relationship between the Church and artists are intertwined.

Camille Noverraz, Kunsthistorikerin mit dem Spezialgebiet Sakralkunst und zeitgenössische Glasmalerei. 2022 stellte sie ihre Doktorarbeit zur Groupe de Saint-Luc und zum Aufschwung sakraler Kunst in der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts fertig. Camille Noverraz est docteure en histoire de l'art et spécialisée dans l'art sacré et le vitrail contemporain. Elle terminera sa thèse de doctorat en 2022 sur le Groupe Saint-Luc et le renouveau de l'art sacré de la première moitié du XXe siècle. Depuis 2015, elle travaille comme collaboratrice scientifique au Vitrocentre Romont, Centre suisse de recherche sur le vitrail et les arts du verre, où elle entreprend plusieurs projets de recherche et travaux d'inventaire relatifs à l'art du vitrail et à l'art religieux des XIXe et XXIe siècles.
