Tibet

This book is the product of five journeys to Tibet by photographer and author Kazuyoshi Nomachi. His work captures the awesome landscape of this mountain nation, the life and surviving culture of its people and the architecture of its temples, shrines and monasteries. Tibet has, over the years, proved unequal to the onslaught of a different set of values from the outside world. By portraying the surviving reality of a threatened Buddhist world peculiar to its own setting, this book records the heritage of a culture and civilization which may soon be lost forever.
