His photographs have appeared in a variety of newspapers, magazines, airline in-flight magazines, and travel guides. He is the author of Caribbean: The Islands. Ron Base is a novelist and screenwriter and has been fascinated with Cuba ever since his first visit in 1971. He currently lives in Montreal.
