Asia-Pacific Trade and Investment Review

The seventh issue of the Asia-Pacific Trade and Investment Review begins with a special brief on termites in the trade system, followed by five research articles. The articles cover the topics on the rise of China, the main global IT services hub, East and South-East Asian free trade agreements, export to oriented small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in Vietnam, and policy options for establishing effective subnational innovation systems and technological capacity to building. This issue also contains a section of staff papers on Asian-African trade and investment cooperation, and the overviews of recent studies published by the secretariat on protectionism, trade facilitation, and coherent policy frameworks.
