He is the author of Islamic Art and Spirituality, Islamic Life and Thought, and Knowledge and the Sacred; and the co-editor of Expectation of the Millenium: Shi'ism in History, and Shi'ism: Doctrines, Thought, and Spirituality, all published by SUNY Press.
