Thirty Years of Progress in Space

This present volume contains a selection of papers that are chiefly survey, state-of-the-art, review or programmatic in nature. The volume is structured in four chapters: I - The System, which deals with space transportation, space stations and platforms. II - Hard and Soft Technologies, which deals with astrodynamics, space power and propulsions. III - The Utilization which addresses the two main topics of space exploration and applications, including earth observation, telecommunication and space education, safety and rescue. Chapter IV contains two prize-winning students' papers.
