Echoes of the East End

The book consists of edited text taken from manuscripts written by elderly residents of the East End - with reminiscences, anecdotes and stories of a former London in which these men and women grew up. The text is complemented by old photographs belonging to the writers - family scenes and groups, street scenes, etc. "Echoes of the East End" will portray a dying if not already dead world, which really belongs to the nineteenth rather than twentieth century.
