This book aims to provide those working with medical-technical equipment as part of their daily routine with a better understanding of the underlying principles of such equipment, and to recognise potential hazards in its application. Equipment most often used in the hospital has been selected. The author does not assume in-depth knowledge in engineering sciences, physics and mathematics, and avoids the use of jargon. The author's concern throughout the book is directed towards helping the reader achieve a better understanding of medical-technical equipment and reducing the incidence of user-caused accidents.
