The two main aims of this book are to provide a compact set of multiple choice items which teachers may use to assess their pupils' progress in chemistry and to provide pupils with practice in answering test papers similar to those presented by the new GCSE Examining Authorities. Each paper is designed to encompass a wide range of topics covering all the GCSE syllabuses. A table provided at the end of the book, enables teachers to use the book as a resource of multiple choice items for general classwork testing. For this purpose the syllabus has been divided into 10 major areas, each of which is clarified more specifically by several sub-headings. A data sheet is provided for pupils during the tests which includes a periodic table, a formula list of common ions and a reactivity of metals series.
