Extracts from a wide range of sources, from ancient to modern, authoritative to personal, are brought together with the aim to covey exactly what it means to belong to this world religion. Designed for use in secondary schools, this book contains 20 sections, ranging from the concrete actions that form part of a particular religion to the more abstract emotions and spiritual sensations. Each section is illustrated by a telling photograph which helps the reader to appreciate the underlying spirit of the religion. The book begins with an explanation of the sources used and ends with a list of difficult words.
