Biopsy Pathology of the Pulmonary Vasculature

Intended to fill a gap in the knowledge of many general pathologists concerning the great variety of pathological changes that may occur in the lung vessels during open lung biopsies, which are regularly performed for the diagnosis of lung diseases and the assessment of pulmonary vascular diseases. This book provides a survey of the various forms of pulmonary vascular disease as they may be encountered in the peripheral lung tissue contained in a biopsy specimen. It will be useful whenever the pathologist is faced with vascular lesions in lungs obtained at autopsy or as resection specimens. It will be of interest to those clinicians whose speciality brings them into contact with pulmonary hypertension or other pulmonary vascular diseases, such as cardiologists, paediatricians, pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons and anaesthetists.
