This book presents mathematical modeling of robotic and flexible manufacturing systems. Because the selection of mathematical tools for building a model depends on the nature and properties of the subject as well as the nature of the problem being solved, two objects of modeling are dealt with: manipulator robots and subsystems used in flexible automated manufacturing. The book assumes a sufficient knowledge of theory of differential equations and also presents elements of discrete optimization and the theory of multiqueue servicing systems, which are not always included in university courses.
