Diagnosing liver disease is a unique challenge for imaging due to the complexity of the organ. Magnetic resonance imaging has shown reat potential for diagnosing a wide range of diffuse and focal hepatic diseases. The current role of MRI relative to other modalities in hepatic diagnosis, particularly CT, are reviewed in this volume. Coverage includes detailed imaging techniques and normal anatomy as well as extensive illustrations of tumours.
