Understanding The Sacraments
Rezensionen / Stimmen
Beginning with a clear introduction on the purpose and meaning of the sacraments, Fr. Mick's series of booklets provide the biblical, historical, and theological overview of the development of each of the sacraments. Clear explanation of the major components of each rite are outlined and explained, and principles for celebrating the sacraments well are offered. This series of booklets would be especially helpful to parish directors of religious education, those who prepare children and adults for the celebration of the sacraments, pastoral leaders, parents of those preparing to celebrate the sacraments, and any Catholic individuals and study groups interested in learning more about the sacraments. Questions for individual or small group reflection and discussion are provided at the end of each booklet.Mary Sellars Malloy, Catholic Parish Mission Leader, Florence, Kentucky As a former teacher, member of an archdiocesan office of religious education and RCIA director, I cannot imagine a more helpful resource than this collection of books on the sacraments. Each sacrament is defined, given its historical context and brought into the present day. Father Mick makes the nature of sacrament clear. Would that we all had such wisdom.Mary Lee Rossbach
