Statistics for Process Improvement is written to supplement introductory statistics or quality management courses. The book provides an introduction to process studies, statistical thinking, statistical tools for identification of and reduction of variation, and the construction and evaluation of control charts. The focus is on learning for improvement. Consequently, there is a heavy emphasis on the necessity for subject matter experts, as well as statistically minded individuals, to be involved in the improvement process.
