James McDermott is a Norfolk based playwright, screenwriter, poet and teacher. Their plays have been produced across the UK and are published by Samuel French. James's poetry collections include 'Wild Life' (Nine Arches Press), 'Erased' (Polari Press) and 'Manatomy' (long-listed for Polari's First Book Prize 2021). James is now a tutor for Arvon and The National Theatre's New Views Scriptwriting Programme. They are a visiting lecturer in scriptwriting at Norwich University of The Arts and a lecturer in creative writing at the University of East Anglia.
