Few people have more experience of all sides of horseracing than Bobby McAlpine. An owner for over sixty years, a racecourse Steward in his twenties, Bobby has done almost everything except ride in a race. Bobby has used no fewer than ten trainers, he has won the Ascot Gold Cup and the Champion Stakes, he has helped run four racecourses including Aintree and has expressed his views on other owners, the top jockeys, the betting business, the major racecourses - as well as institutions like the Jockey Club (of which he is a member) and its stewardship.
