Trapping

This text addresses the challenge of understanding the conversion of light-based digital files on the desktop to producing pigment-based printed images. The factors involved in the precision of reproducing what is seen on the screen to a printed sheet, without falling into a trapping, or misregistration problem, are discussed. It examines the design vs. production perspective in identifying the benefits of addressing technical aspects of page production for more accurate and cost efficient results.
