In 2013 designer and illustrator Michelle Mason co-founded Mason & Painter, a vintage emporium on Columbia Road, in east London, a street famed for its Sunday flower market.
Michelle's inspiration for Flower Market: Botanical Style at Home is the wide variety of seasonal plants and flowers available right outside her shop. Buying locally and in tune with the seasons is at the heart of her philosophy Using salvage and reclaimed objects, vintage glassware and ceramics as props and backdrops, Flower Market is brimming with texture, pattern and exciting and inspiring ways to group and display flowers, plants and succulents.
In Flower Market: Botanical Style at Home Michelle draws on her design experience, playing with shape, colour and composition to create stunning combinations showing how to make the most of fresh flowers and bring botanical style into the home.
Rezensionen / Stimmen
"A beautiful book...full of inspiration to create your own imaginative floral displays." * Spitalfields Life * "It is to all the followers of floral designers on Instagram that this book will appeal. Every chapter has pages of impeccably styled, elegant images. For anyone after a 'look book' of what flowers are available from a local market and how to combine them, this will be a useful resource. If this encourages and entices a new generation to go out and find flowers...it gets my vote." -- Simon Lycett * The Garden *
