Bronchoscopy is well-established as an essential diagnostic procedure in lung disease. However, its role in therapy is more recent and controversial and not covered in existing texts. This comprehensive textbook will cover all aspects of rigid and fiberoptic bronchoscopy, from technique and applied pathology to treatment of lung cancer with lasers or local radiation. All diagnostic and therapeutic options, including lasers, stents and brachytherapy, are included, with indications for particular diseases. Obviously lung cancer is an important part of this but other new procedures have been developed for benign but disabling lung disease.
