PianoWorld: Exploring the Piano Repertoire Book is a fun collection perfect for all pre-Grade 1 pianists! This book supports PianoWorld Book 2: Exploring the Piano, but is ideal alongside the second part of any piano tutor.
Beautifully and imaginatively written by Joanna MacGregor, these progressive pieces develop new skills gradually, reinforcing many essential techniques for young pianists such as new hand positions, slurred couplets and using the black keys.
Rezensionen / Stimmen
These repertoire books are designed to support Joanna MacGregor's PianoWorld, books 2 and 3, but they also provide a next step for any tutor book scheme. MacGregor says that she 'wanted to convey the basics along with energy to get into all kinds of music right from the start.' These books certainly do that: they have everything from blues to Brahms, and from jazz to the Hanbanera. There are activities, advice and lively illustrative characters to encourage young pupils....It is fantastic to see a busy, world-renowned concert pianist not only teaching beginners, but also sharing her ideas.
