Shoot the Women First

Based on the author's encounters with some of the world's most notorious female terrorists, this book sets out to destroy what she sees as the myth and male fantasy surrounding such women - that they are either gun-toting lesbian feminists or misguided pawns. She argues that it is the deeply embedded attitude that the "gentle sex" is incapable of extreme cruelty that has made women such valuable assets to armed revolutionary movements, and offers an explanation of why some of the most vicious acts of terrorism have been committed by women.
