Malta, Gozo and Comino attract hundreds of thousands of tourists each year, most of them from Britain, Italy, Germany and Scandinavia. Many are lured by the typical Mediterranean weather; others see Malta as a change from the Spanish 'Costas', while British ex-servicemen and their families, once stationed here, come back for a nostalgic look at how things have changed.
