Project Management

Project management is the function of evaluation, planning and controlling a project so that it is finished on time, to specification and within budget. It uses a family of techniques which can be practised with profit whether the project is worth #100 or #1m. Dennis Lock's book explains and demostrates these techniques in action. It covers project management from initial appraisal to closedown, using methods ranging from simple charts to powerful computer systems, and with every subject explained using step-by-step illustrations and case studies. This fifth edition has been completely revised and updated since the publication of the previous edition in 1988. There have been substantial additions and changes made to the text. Several new illustrations have been introduced and many of the existing ones replaced to ensure that every figure is up to date and as clear and informative as possible. Whilst the logical sequence of topics throughout the book remains the same the new edition now contains three additional chapters.
