Japanese in Your Pocket

This phrasebook is designed to enable visitors to Japan to cope confidently with a wide range of everyday situations. The book is presented thematically, with colour-coded sections for easy reference. Each section has a short introduction giving practical information, followed by a wide variety of phrases in both Japanese script and romaji (transliteration into the Latin alphabet). Special "Key phrase" and "You may hear/see" segments enable users to formulate many more phrases and to understand the replies they may hear. Pronunciation is clearly indicated throughout and dealt with on the accompanying cassette. A comprehensive English-Japanese wordlist provides an additional point of reference.
