Historic Towns of Kent and Sussex

This is a guide to the old towns of Kent and Sussex which were originally covered in the author's "Historic Towns of South-East England". The text has been revised to take account of recent changes, some further towns have been added and there is a new introduction. The book explores the development, both social and economic, of the towns over hundreds of years, and how this can be seen clearly in the street plans and buildings of different periods.
