A technique atlas illustrating orthopaedic procedures commonly performed by veterinarians on dogs and cats. The atlas shows approaches as well as actual procedures for the jaws, spine, legs, pelvis and paws. Contemporary techniques for stabilization, internal and external fixation, and reduction of dislocations are illustrated with toned line drawings. Set out in an atlas style, the text presents a technique approach with description on the left hand page and step-by-step line drawings on the right hand page. Clinical comments or indications for special attention are included within each technique description and illustrated, where appropriate with an insert figure. The organization is by skeletal parts of the body that require orthopaedic repair. Both cat and dog are pictured, with important anatomic differences noted. Radiographs are included where they relate to a fracture and the technique of repair.
