Edwin Lewis was born in the Swansea Valley and has devoted his working life to the teaching of the Welsh language. His teaching career spans 35 years in Glamorgan and West Glamorgan schools as Assistant Teacher, Deputy Head Teacher and for the final fifteen years of his career as Head Teacher of a designated Welsh-medium primary school. He has had several books published in the Welsh language and has been a contributor to various journals and magazines.
