First Aid for the Wards

This guide is designed to help students make the transition from the basic sciences to the hospital wards. It offers an orientation to the hospital environment, its staff and individual rotations. Advice on planning the work day, interacting with ward team members, organizing patient information and surviving "on call" is included. Student recommendations for major clinical textbooks are also provided.
