The 1944 Pick-Sloan Plan resulted in the flooding of more than 200,000 acres of Sioux bottom-lands, one of the most destructive acts perpetrated by the US against the an Indian tribe. This text discusses this act and the insensitivity of the federal government in ignoring the Sioux land-rights.
