This case study examines El Nino and its impact on the Peruvian anchovy fishery. Elements of meterology, physical oceanography, biology, ecology, economics and political science are involved in this broadly interdisciplinary module, which considers the social, as well as physical, changes brought about by changes in climate. The module includes study questions and answers, as well as a computer game that allows students to test the impacts of economic and climatic variables on the fish population.
