Donna Lawrence is a writer of women's fiction set in historical periods, often touching on coming-of-age in small-town America, as well as short stories and poetry. Two of her poems on the 9/11 Memorial website are included in her latest book, Looking In from Outside: Poetry and Prose. Miss Virginia and the Sweet Sisters: A Novel is her debut novel. Her second, Pen Pals: A Novella and Other Stories, is scheduled for release soon. She is currently working on her third novel. She was born and raised in Kentucky and has been a longtime resident of Colorado. Both states hold special meaning, and the many experiences she's had are ones she draws on in her writing.
