Phyllis Kwan was an award-winning human resource specialist when she switched careers to run a successful family-owned drycleaning business. Her passion for writing stories and poetry went from pastime to serious writing while on a trip to her favourite holiday destination, Aruba. That trip inspired many of the poems and the title of Poetic Ballets of My Mind-her first collection of poetry. Phyllis lives in Toronto with her husband and son. Her daughter, son-in-law and her pride and joy-grandson Liam, live nearby. She is currently working on a biography of her beloved father, Edward Ayoung-Chee.
