Bon, Buddhism and Democracy

Whereas the old independent Tibet was based on a Buddhist theocratic order, what is seen today is a growing national awareness. This perhaps explains moves being made to create a plural society embracing the faiths and ethnic and social groups comprising the Tibetan nation.
