This book gives basic knowledge with regard to qualitative (Salt mixture analysis) techniques that are commonly adopted in laboratory courses for B.Sc Under Graduate Students. Chemical analysis plays an important role in study of composition or constituents of substances or material. The chemical analysis is broadly divided into two types. 1. Qualitative analysis 2. Quantitative analysis. Finding out the nature of substance and identity of its constituents is also analysis and is known as qualitative analysis. Qualitative analysis of inorganic salts means the identification of cations and anions present in the salt or a mixture of salts. The salt mixture analysis involves a series of steps that help in identifying constituent cations and anions.
