Natasha Kostalas is a former Head of English and English teacher of 10 years turned Personal Trainer after she competed in bodybuilding in 2019. When her mental health took its toll in 2015/2016 due to a toxic relationship and a high-flying role that she abhorred, her road to healing was when she started weight training with her coach and brother, Anton, who was her main inspiration. His positivity and love of weight training inspired her to become better, to become a more positive person and her life was completely transformed thereafter. Watching him compete in bodybuilding only sparked her drive to take her training to the next level and Anton coached her to compete in 2 shows in 2019; she came 5th and 4th in 2 categories. When Natasha wanted to compete again in 2021, she had to pull out of the shows due to personal circumstances which is what led her to start writing her memoir Beyond the Barbell: Confessions of a Female Fitness Competitor. Since then, she's still growing her PT business, has recently competed in the sport of powerlifting, coming 2nd place out of 14 women in her category, hosts her weekly podcast The Binges to Barbells Podcast and writes weekly fitness articles on Substack. She is currently working on her second book.
