This work is a re-issue of a commentary first published in 1945, which shows itself as relevant to the situation in Northern Ireland today, as it was nearly 60 years ago. This book provides an insight into one Ulsterman's view of how a compromise of understanding could be found to allow the men and women of Northern Ireland to live in peace with each other, and solve forever the thing that generations of Englishmen have known as 'the Irish problem'.
