Jean- Marie Gustave Le Clézio's rich and prolific work was initially dedicated to transcribing the Western "here" and "now", the space-time of an alienating ego/anthropocentrism. Later, through the integration of geographical elsewhere, it was to devote itself to new possibilities for man's relationship with the world. As a result of this break with everything that could condition being and creation, the work of Le Clézienne opted in the course of its evolution for a position that valued the elsewhere and the past, a space-time where being could be preserved, in love and contemplation of the universe. The desire for a writing that consciously mediates between man and the world thus took the form of the quest for a writing that would also be a means and object for harmony with the world.
