Atlas of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

This atlas provides comprehensive information necessary to perform all basic oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures. Covers indications, pre- and post-operative care and intraoperative decisions to help surgeons understand each procedure and its relative ease or difficulty. Each step in the surgical procedure is clearly described and illustrated. Mandibular and maxillary resections are described and illustrated and operative management of zygomatic fractures is explained and illustrated. Care of the patient after surgery and expected outcomes of each procedure are discussed in detail in each chapter and key references are included to guide the reader to other sources of information (all chapters). Aspects of general anesthesia for oral and maxillofacial surgery are discussed and illustrations, all prepared under the direction of the University of Michigan art department, are used extensively throughout.
