Cultural Ergonomics

Cultural ergonomics is an evolving field that stems from the broader parent disciplines of ergonomics and human factors. Under the umbrella of these parent disciplines, it has come to stand beside such sister subfields as macroergonomics, cognitive ergonomics, and industrial ergonomics, as well as other traditional areas of ergonomic research and practice. Among its central concerns is how cultural influences enter into and affect the performance of tasks and the human interfacing that impinges upon those activities worldwide.
