Mountain Huts in South Tyrol

In speaking with our guests, we always seem to come to the same conclusion. South Tyrol's nature; the landscape and the mountains, are the primary reasons to book a holiday in this very special and beautiful place. The environment here off ers a broad variety of hikes and climbs consisting of all lengths and diffi culties, and so caters to everyone. The many mountain huts are perfect places for a rest stop and to experience the warm hospitality of the hut keepers. This book is the fi rst of its kind, where we were able to present all the huts of the South Tyrolean Alpine Club AVS, the Italian Alpine Club CAI and the privately owned mountain huts in the hotel and innkeepers alliance. Therefore, 94 huts are listed and described. The assistance of the department for tourism and alpine aff airs made it possible to develop this interesting and useful hut guidebook, which hopefully will be a regular companion in the mountains for both locals and tourists alike.
