He is the author of over 160 publications, including several monographs, and was the 2009 recipient of Fumio Koizumi Prize in Ethnomusicology.Rusudan Tsurtsumia is a Professor and Director of the International Research Center for Traditional Polyphony at Tbilisi State Conservatoire, Georgia. The focus of her scientific and pedagogical work is Georgian professional and ethno-music. She is the author of several works and the co-editor of the proceedings of the Tbilisi Symposia.
