This book takes a fundamentally different approach to the rights and freedoms set forth in the Law of the Sea Convention. It looks at international shipping from the perspective of those who live in coastal states and their desire to protect resources and marine environment from damage by international shipping. Interest in protecting the resources and environment of coastal states will only become more acute as the potential risk of damage by shipping and cargo increases due to the rise in volume and composition of ships.
Rezensionen / Stimmen
Clearly identifies issues that coastal states and policy-makers must be aware of when attempting to regulate international shipping for environment reasons ... a valuable addition to the field. * Stephanie Showalter, J.D., M.S.E.L., The Sandbar *
