Consciousness

Based on the annual neurological research symposium of the University of Montreal, this volume reviews theoretical and experimental research on consciousness and cognitive neuroscience. It begins with a look at consciousness - its problems, electrophysiology, neuroanatomy and neurochemistry. Next, it studies consciousness as a function, reviewing different levels and states of consciousness across the sleep-waking cycle; thalamocorticol coherence and consciousness; language contrivance on consciousness; and contributions of human brain mapping.
